FERNLEY RECOGNIZED FOR EXCELLENCE IN ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT

The Excellence in Association Management Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated vision and leadership in the field of Association Management through innovation, collaboration, and leadership. The judging criteria included career achievements, contribution to NJSAE, as well as contributions to other professional organizations.
Mr. Fernley was selected based on his generous commitment of time and expertise to the non-profit community throughout his 35 year career in Association Management. He has held board and committee positions for a variety of associations and professional societies on a national and local level. A few of the organizations Fernley has been involved with are the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Mid-Atlantic Employers' Association (MEA), Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PCVB), Association Management Company Institute (AMCI), and the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW).
Mr. Fernley graciously accepted the award as his wife Pam, sons Kyle and Todd, and members of his firm looked on. In his acceptance speech Fernley gave thanks saying, "I would not be here today if it were not for the dedicated group of professionals who support me at Fernley & Fernley." He continued, "It is humbling to be honored with such a prestigious award by my peers in the industry."
