Fernley & Fernley Renews National Accreditation 07/19/2006

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JULY 2006, PHILADELPHIA, PA - Fernley & Fernley, Inc., a fourth generation, Philadelphia based association management company (AMC), which represents over thirty (30) national and international trade associations and professional and medical societies, recently renewed its professional accreditation designation from the International Association of Association Management Companies (IAAMC). The IAAMC accreditation standard is approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), a not-for-profit institution that certifies organizations to develop consensus standards using an impartial process recognized and accepted worldwide.

Fernley & Fernley, which originally earned charter accreditation status when the IAAMC ANSI Standard Program was established in 2002, is one of only 36 AMCs out of 676 in the industry to have received this significant achievement. Achieving national accreditation is no easy task. The accreditation process requires that a third-party audit of all internal operating systems be performed to verify that acceptable checks and balances are in place and that routine, effective communication takes place between the AMC and the association client.

"I am justifiably proud of our most recent accomplishment," commented G.A. Taylor Fernley, President & CEO of Fernley & Fernley. "Being one of the first AMCs to pass the re-accreditation process is just one example of our commitment to providing quality management services. Fernley & Fernley has been a leader in this industry for over a century and will continue to do its part to expand awareness of the AMC industry and the benefit of being managed by an IAAMC accredited AMC."

The accreditation program is a voluntary process that requires written documentation and an independent review that Fernley & Fernley meets or exceeds the Standard's requirements. Those requirements ensure that Fernley & Fernley follows standard accounting procedures, has documented contract review and transition procedures, maintains adequate insurance coverage, abides by written record keeping policies, employs fair hiring practices and promotes continuing educating and training programs for its employees. Achievement of this accreditation demonstrates that Fernley & Fernley operates with the highest level of professionalism and responsibility with a focus on providing consistent and quality service to its non-profit clients.

Fernley & Fernley is the only accredited AMC headquartered in Philadelphia and currently provides full-service management to over 30 national and international trade associations and professional societies in the investment and health care fields.
